I want to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for the help that the LetGoLetPeaceCome. In foundation has provided me. I was sexually molested while attending a Catholic high school by one of my athletic coaches. The abuse occurred for almost two years, until he moved on to another victim. I had no idea at the time of the deep trauma and damage that these events caused. For decades I buried the pain, the shame and the hurt that was inflicted upon me. My life eventually began to spiral out of control to the point it has become difficult to manage even normal everyday activities. I was determined to overcome my pain and achieved much success only to eventually have everything come crashing down because my foundation had been destroyed by an evil adult sexual predator.
Recently, I was given Peter’s book and immediately identified with many of the emotional issues that were detailed in the book. Subsequently I contacted the LGLPCI foundation to seek help. Almost immediately I was provided counseling and therapy which I have continued to pursue. The therapist has been knowledgeable on the subject matter and very supportive.
The foundation has been instrumental and unwavering in providing me support and care as I continue my recovery process. I have been impressed by and am thankful for the foundation’s total dedication to providing whatever resources are needed to victims of childhood sexual abuse. In addition to my personal situation, it gives me hope to learn how the foundation works to raise awareness of sexual predator issues to the greater public. For too long this issue has been covered up, hidden and, in many situations, even denied to exist. The foundation
provides a venue to expose the truth and the extent of this mental sickness and perversion that is perpetrated on the most vulnerable portion of the population – unsuspecting and innocent children. The foundation’s work with elite medical organizations such as Johns Hopkins continues to expand the awareness of the issues and harm caused by the worst of all predators in society. I cannot express enough my appreciation and support for the foundation and the work they do to support adult survivors around the world at a time when
evil forces seem to be attempting to tolerate such behavior. My thanks and prayers go out to the LGLPCI Foundation, their staff and counselors and for Pete Pelullo for his dedication and bravery for illuminating this cause and carrying out the LGLPCI mission.
